Temple of Athena Nike, Ancient temple in Athens, Greece
The Temple of Athena Nike is a temple on the Acropolis of Athens, dedicated to the goddess Athena Nike.
Built around 420 BC, the temple is the earliest fully Ionic temple on the Acropolis.
It was designed by architect Kallikrates and it's a symbol of victory in ancient Greece.
The temple is located at the southwest corner of the Acropolis plateau, right by the Propylaea.
Unlike other temples, it has no cella because Athena was worshipped in the open.
