The Ancient Agora of Athens is a sprawling ruin of historical significance located to the northwest of the Acropolis.
It was once the heart of ancient Athens, serving as a commercial, political, and social center from as early as 6th century BC.
The site is home to several important buildings including the Stoa of Attalos, which now houses the Museum of the Ancient Agora.
Visitors can explore the ruins daily from 8 am to 3 pm with an entrance fee of 8 euros.
The Temple of Hephaestus, one of the best-preserved ancient Greek temples, is located here.
