Yeni Mosque, Larissa, Ottoman mosque and archaeological museum in Larissa, Greece.
The Yeni Mosque features a square structure with nine arched windows, a four-sided tile-covered roof, and a minaret on its northwestern corner.
The building served the Muslim community until 1924, when the population exchange between Greece and Turkey led to their relocation from Larissa.
From 1939 to 1941, the structure housed the Municipal Library and an archaeological collection before becoming the Archaeological Museum until 2011.
Located at 31is Avgoustou Road in central Larissa, the mosque exhibits both religious architecture and historical artifacts within its neoclassical walls.
The mosque withstood multiple earthquakes in 1941, 1955, 1957, and 1980, demonstrating the durability of its architectural construction methods.
