The Yeni Mosque in Larissa is a former place of worship with a square footprint, nine arched windows, and a tiled roof. The building now houses an Archaeological Museum with objects from the region.
The building served the local Muslim community until 1924, when they left following the population exchange between Greece and Turkey. It was later adapted for use as a library and then as a museum.
The building recalls the Muslim community that worshipped and lived here until 1924. Today the space tells the story of a multicultural chapter in the city's past.
