The church features a triple-aisled basilica design with a central dome and a sculptured bell tower overlooking the surrounding landscape.
The construction of Panagia Argokoiliotisa Church began in 1835 after a villager from Koronos discovered two Byzantine icons during excavations.
The church maintains annual celebrations five days after Easter Sunday, gathering numerous worshippers from different parts of Naxos island.
Visitors can reach the church through Line 2 buses departing from Chora to Koronos, with regular services throughout the day.
The discovery of a stream of holy water emerging from rocks near the church site contributed to its establishment as a religious center.
