The Dôme des Invalides is a large former church in the center of the Les Invalides complex.
It was initially built as a royal chapel by Louis XIV in the late 17th century.
The dome is considered one of the triumphs of French Baroque architecture.
Today, it serves as a burial site for some of France's war heroes, notably Napoleon Bonaparte.
Its golden dome reaches a height of 107 meters, making it one of the tallest monuments in Paris.
