Pléneuf-Val-André

This northwestern French commune stretches along the coast of Brittany, covering 17 square kilometers between Saint-Brieuc and Lamballe.

The area gained prominence in 1857 when Admiral Léonard Victor Charner constructed a manor house that became an integral part of Val-André's architectural legacy.

The inhabitants of this commune, known as pléneuviens or valandréens, maintain strong connections to both French and Breton cultural traditions.

Located 25 kilometers east of Saint-Brieuc, the commune provides direct access to coastal activities with an elevation ranging from sea level to 117 meters.

French actress Charlotte Valandrey selected her stage name from this commune and chose it as her final resting place.
