Le Chesnay, Administrative division in Yvelines, France.

Le Chesnay is an administrative district in the western suburbs of Paris within the Yvelines department. The area sits at approximately 120 meters elevation and encompasses a residential zone with neighborhood facilities and schools.

The area underwent a major administrative change in January 2019 when it merged with Rocquencourt. This union created a new commune called Le Chesnay-Rocquencourt with combined administrative systems.

The area is known for its schools and educational facilities that shape daily life. Families use these places regularly, giving the neighborhood a well-maintained, residential character.

Direct connections to the Paris Metro or RER network are not available, but Versailles-Rive Droite station is about 2 kilometers from the center. Car or bus travel is the most common way to explore the area as a visitor.

The location witnessed military confrontation in July 1815 when French forces defended positions during a retreat following the Battle of Waterloo. This lesser-known episode reveals the area's strategic importance during the Napoleonic Wars.
