Montparnasse Tower, Skyscraper in Paris, France
The Tour Montparnasse is a 210-meter tall office skyscraper located in the Montparnasse area of Paris, France.
Constructed from 1969 to 1973, it was the tallest skyscraper in France until 2011.
Despite its height, the Tour Montparnasse has been criticized for its stark, monolithic appearance and is often regarded as an eyesore in Parisian architecture.
The 56th floor, with a restaurant and terrace, provides a panoramic view of the city.
It's the only skyscraper allowed in the city center due to a ban enacted after its construction.
