Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains

Vieux-Boucau-les-Bains is a small commune along the Atlantic coast featuring three ocean beaches and an inland lake that connects the town center to the sea. The settlement spreads between water and low-lying land, with residential areas rising gently from the shoreline.

The settlement was originally called Port d'Albret and served as the main harbor of the Landes coastline until 1578, when the Adour river shifted its course. This change ended its role as a busy port, and the area gradually developed into a coastal destination.

Saint-Clément Church anchors the town center with its traditional presence, while the Galerie du Moïsan showcases regional artists and their work throughout the year. Visitors can see how local creativity connects to the community's everyday life.
