Gare de la Bastille was a railway station located at Place de la Bastille in the 12th arrondissement of Paris. The station opened in 1859 and was demolished in 1961.
The station was built during France's railway expansion and served as a connection point between Paris and Lyon. Its closure in the mid-20th century ended a significant chapter of rail transport in central Paris.
The building no longer stands, so visiting the physical site is not possible today. Information about the former station can be found in Paris archives and local museums that document the city's railway heritage.
