Hôtel de Tallard, Private mansion in Quartier des Enfants-Rouges, France
The mansion stands at 78 Rue des Archives with a grand entrance, ornate tympanum, and Tuscan pilasters adorning its northern wing front.
Built between 1702 and 1704 for Denis-Jean Amelot de Chaillou, the residence received its current name in 1722 when Marshal Tallard acquired it.
The building exhibits early 18th-century French architectural elements with three-opening facades, arcades, and decorated grand staircases within its walls.
The property includes service areas accessible through a coach passage, maintaining its original layout with a garden parallel to Rue de Beauce.
A renovation project in 1980-1981 preserved specific architectural features, including the plaster floral reliefs and cornices in first-floor salons.
