The church features a wooden carved altarpiece depicting Saint Thibault's life, along with a 16th-century eucharistic dove and a 14th-century polychrome crucifix.
Construction of the church began in the 13th century when monks established a priory in Fontaines, receiving Saint Thibault's relics in 1240.
The church contains numerous classified historical objects, including the monumental Saint Thibault shrine and a 14th-century wooden chest.
The municipality and Friends of Saint Thibault Association maintain the church, with exterior renovations completed in 2010.
The Heritage Foundation collected 87,610 euros through public subscriptions and various aids to support the preservation project.
