Notre Dame des Cyclistes

The Romanesque chapel features an entrance archway decorated with bicycles and houses more than 700 cycling jerseys from professional athletes.

Originally built in the 14th century, the chapel was partially destroyed in 1569 and later restored, becoming a national cycling sanctuary in 1959.

The sanctuary exhibits an extensive collection of cycling memorabilia, including vintage penny-farthing bicycles, postal delivery bikes, and competition trophies.

Located 28 kilometers from Mont-de-Marsan, the chapel welcomes visitors for guided tours with an entrance fee of 1 euro per adult.

The Tour de France route has passed by this sanctuary six times to acknowledge its status as the only cycling-dedicated religious building in France.
