Pointe du Souc'h necropolis

The megalithic necropolis extends over 35 meters in length and 10 meters in width, with multiple burial chambers constructed from large stone blocks.

Initial excavations in 1870 by A. Grenot revealed numerous artifacts including polished axes and a specific type of pottery that became known as Souc'h pottery.

The burial site demonstrates advanced architectural methods of Neolithic societies through structured stone arrangements and organized funeral spaces for community members.

The necropolis sits on the Brittany coastline at 818 Rue de la Corniche, with guided visits available during summer months from 10:30 to 12:30 and 14:00 to 18:00.

The site contains six distinct construction phases from early to late Neolithic period, including an individual tomb carved directly into bedrock containing flint tools.
