Monastir del Camp

Monastir del Camp is a Romanesque monastery in Passa featuring a single-nave church built from local stone with a white marble portal carved with intricate details. The site also contains a cloister with distinctive three-lobed arches.

The monastery was founded in the 11th century and served for centuries as home to Augustinian canons. In 1786, the Jaubert de Passa family took ownership of the property, marking a significant change in its history.

The marble portal features sculptures created by the Master of Cabestany, a skilled artist whose work shaped the region's religious buildings. His decorative style became characteristic of medieval architecture in this part of southern France.
