Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery

The 130.5-acre cemetery contains 14,246 American military graves arranged in rows extending toward a central reflection pool and chapel on a ridge.

Established in October 1918, this cemetery commemorates soldiers who fell during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, the largest American battle of World War I.

The chapel features stained glass windows displaying American military unit insignias and bronze screens, with memorial loggias containing maps of military operations.

The cemetery welcomes visitors daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM throughout the year, except for December 25 and January 1.

The site includes tablets listing 954 missing soldiers, with rosettes marking those whose remains were later identified and recovered.
