Château Levat, 18th-century castle in Montpellier, France.

Château Levat displays a symmetrical facade with eight openings per floor, three central arched French windows, and a roof covered with curved tiles.

Jean David Levat, a merchant from Montpellier, commissioned the construction of this castle between 1763 and 1764, marking the rise of merchant residences.

The castle's reception rooms feature decorative plasterwork and door panels depicting scenes from La Fontaine's Fables.

Located at 44 Avenue Saint-Lazare, the castle has housed an architectural firm since 2022 and remains closed to public access.

The side terraces, rear terrace, and wrought iron balconies received heritage protection status in 1944 as historical monuments.
