Château du Parc-Soubise, Renaissance castle in Mouchamps, France.

The castle features a main building with a regular facade, decorated columns, and a coat of arms near the entrance point.

Originally belonging to the Lusignan family, the castle passed to the Parthenay family who made it their primary residence in lower Poitou region.

Catherine de Parthenay transformed the castle into a center of Protestant influence, welcoming mathematician François Viète and King Henry IV.

During July and August, visitors can join guided tours every Friday morning at 10:00, while group tours require advance reservations.

In 1794, the castle endured severe damage when the revolutionary forces of Lachenay set fire to the structure and executed 200 people near a well.
