Château de Vouzan, Medieval castle in Vouzan, Charente, France
The northern facade of the castle features watchtowers supported by buttresses and incorporates a sectioned polygonal tower within modern buildings.
The castle chapel dates from the 12th century, while the northern facade was constructed in the 15th century during the ownership of the Livenne family.
The castle belonged to several noble families, including the Livenne from the 14th to 17th century and the d'Abzac family from the 17th to 18th century.
The castle and its chapel received official recognition as historical monuments on December 31, 1986, though the property remains in private ownership.
The castle grounds contain archaeological remains and include a square dovecote within the park area surrounding the main structure.
