Château d'Eu, Renaissance castle and museum in Eu, France

The castle spans 16th century architecture with classical gardens, containing formal rooms decorated with period furniture and artistic collections.

Built between 1578 and 1620 by Henri de Lorraine, the castle served as a summer residence for King Louis-Philippe I from 1830 to 1848.

The Louis-Philippe Museum presents collections of furniture, porcelain, silverware, paintings and historical items related to the French royal family.

The museum welcomes visitors from March 15 to November 3, with different entrance fees for adults, children and groups.

Queen Victoria stayed at the castle twice during state visits, in September 1843 and September 1845, marking early French-British diplomatic relations.
