La Coupole

La Coupole is a museum in Helfaut housed within a massive concrete dome that was built as a V2 rocket launch facility during World War II. The building contains exhibitions and documentary presentations that trace the site's use across different periods.

The facility was built in 1943 as a V2 rocket launch base by the Organisation Todt for the Nazi regime. After the war, the site was abandoned and later converted into a museum that documents this complex past.

The museum is open to visitors throughout the year and features various themed exhibitions within the spaces under the dome. It helps to allow several hours to explore fully and wear comfortable shoes for walking.
