Abbaye d'Asnière, Medieval Benedictine abbey in Cizay-la-Madeleine, France.

The monastic complex includes a church, abbatial lodge, hospitality buildings, chapter house, barn, and dovecote spread across a wooded area.

Founded in 1129 by Bernard de Tiron, the abbey experienced substantial growth until Protestant forces damaged its structures during religious conflicts in 1569.

The abbey demonstrates architectural evolution from the 12th to 19th centuries, incorporating Romanesque and Gothic elements in its remaining structures.

The privately owned monument allows scheduled visits, with access to preserved religious buildings and architectural elements from different construction periods.

The nave of the abbey church was demolished in 1857 to salvage stones, leaving only the transept and choir as testimony of medieval craftsmanship.
