Les Perrières, Underground historic site and museum in Doué-en-Anjou, France.
The site features an extensive network of limestone caves with multiple chambers carved into the cliffs of the Maine-et-Loire region.
Local inhabitants used these caves for shelter and storage throughout different periods, with three families residing in the underground dwellings until 1976.
The heritage center presents exhibitions about traditional troglodyte living and the geological formation of the region through guided experiences.
Les Perrières welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Sunday between 14:00 and 18:00, offering wheelchair accessibility and accommodation facilities for 58 people.
The underground complex includes nine rooms, a dining hall, and an amphitheater that accommodates 60 people for educational programs and cultural events.
