Château du Pineau, Historical castle in Bellevigne-en-Layon, France
The Château du Pineau features two round towers and a chapel, surrounded by extensive parkland and forest in the Maine-et-Loire department.
Initially built in the 17th century with towers, pavilions, and a drawbridge, the castle underwent reconstruction in the 19th century by architect René Hodé.
The Lions du Pineau association coordinates guided tours to promote awareness of local architectural heritage preservation efforts.
Visitors can explore portions of the castle, park, and forest for 5 euros, with payment accepted by credit card or cash.
The current chapel, built between 1850 and 1852, stands where the original structure was destroyed during the French Revolution.
