Chapelle de Saint-Nicodème, Pluméliau, Gothic chapel in Pluméliau, France

The Chapelle de Saint-Nicodème is a chapel with Gothic features in the Breton village of Pluméliau. The building has granite stone walls, a prominent spire tower, and interior spaces decorated with religious artworks from different periods.

The chapel was built in the early decades of the 16th century and reflects the Gothic architecture popular in Brittany during that period. Much of its current interior furnishings date from the 17th century.

The chapel is named after a saint venerated in Christian tradition as a helper during the burial of Christ. Visitors can experience how this religious devotion continues to shape the local community's practices.

The site is easy to reach and inviting for casual visits, with plenty of space to explore the exterior and surroundings. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes as the ground may be uneven and the interior tends to be cool.

On certain days throughout the year, traditional pilgrimage festivals take place here, bringing together people from the surrounding area. These gatherings have roots in ancient customs connected to saint veneration and local community practices.
