Château de Coat-an-Noz, Listed castle in Belle-Isle-en-Terre, France.

The rectangular castle features four corner turrets, built with local granite and slate, situated within a forest near the Leguer River.

The castle, constructed between 1880 and 1884 by Countess de Sesmaisons, later belonged to Sir Robert Mond who purchased it in 1929.

The structure represents traditional Breton architecture with its granite walls, schist elements, and slate roofing characteristic of the region.

The castle spans 1,440 square meters of living space across 21 rooms, connected by 92 steps from the cellar to the attic.

After Lady Mond ordered a replica built in 1923, she had it dismantled and reconstructed meters away when friends noted its proximity to the road.
