The château stands with symmetrical proportions and classical elements, featuring an orangery and a glacière from the First Empire period within its landscaped park.
The present structure, built from 1770 for Louis de Jaucourt, replaced an earlier château that belonged to Gervais de Combreux in the 12th century.
The Marquis de Jaucourt utilized the château for social gatherings and managing his personal guard during the Restoration period of French history.
From 1998 to 2019, the château operated as Résidence sociale Frédéric Ozanam, providing accommodation and support services for young adults aged 18 to 25.
The property includes a preserved Briarde-style farm from the 17th century, complete with traditional gateway, water pump, and extensive original framework in the granary.
