The Château de Courson stands within a 35-hectare estate featuring curved pathways, ornamental ponds, and extensive botanical collections spanning multiple garden styles.
Guillaume de Lamoignon constructed the initial French-style park around 1680, while the Duke of Paduan commissioned landscape architect Berthault for major renovations in 1820.
The estate hosts the nationally recognized Journées des Plantes de Courson event, bringing together gardening specialists and plant collectors from across France.
The domain remains open to visitors every Saturday and Sunday throughout the year, except during special botanical events and exhibitions.
The gardens contain over 2000 trees and shrubs planted in the last two decades, including rare specimens of maples, magnolias, and rhododendrons.
