Chapelle de la Trinité, Baroque chapel in 2nd arrondissement of Lyon, France

The Chapelle de la Trinité displays white Carrara marble decorations, sculptural elements, and trompe l'oeil effects throughout its interior structure.

Architect Étienne Martellange constructed this chapel between 1617 and 1622, marking the introduction of baroque architecture in Lyon's religious buildings.

The chapel functions as a concert venue with superior acoustics, regularly presenting classical music performances and hosting the Festival de Musique Ancienne de Lyon.

Visitors can reach the chapel at 29-31 rue de la Bourse by taking TCL Metro line A to Cordeliers station in central Lyon.

The building housed Lyon's first astronomical observatory in 1702, established at the request of Dominique Cassini through Father Jean de Saint-Bonnet.
