Château de Gerbéviller, Heritage château in Gerbéviller, France.

Château de Gerbéviller is a classical French estate with symmetrical architecture, ornate facades, and gardens set above the Mortagne valley in northeastern France. The building contains multiple rooms and halls connected by corridors, surrounded by lawns and wooded areas that slope toward the surrounding landscape.

The château was built before 1750 during the reign of Louis XV and suffered severe damage in World War I, with reconstruction overseen by architect Albert Laprade in 1920.

The rooms display furnishings and artworks that reflect how the noble family lived in different periods. Walking through the halls, you get a sense of daily aristocratic life and how the building was used across generations.

The gardens are open from April through October, and guided tours can be arranged in advance. Wear comfortable shoes since the grounds are spacious and include multiple levels to explore.

The park contains an ornate water structure from the 17th century with three chambers decorated in shell mosaics. This rare construction was once a centerpiece of baroque garden design and remains striking for its intricate handiwork.
