Château de Gombervaux

Château de Gombervaux is a medieval castle set in a narrow valley, featuring a 22 meter (72 foot) gatehouse tower and water-filled moats supplied by natural springs. The structure displays typical medieval defensive architecture with multiple levels and stone walls distributed across the site.

The castle was built between 1338 and 1357 following the establishment of noble authority in the area. The structure served as a defensive center and underwent several modifications over centuries as military technology and living standards changed.
