Château de Saint-Brice, Protected castle in Saint-Brice, France.

The castle features a single-story main building with turrets topped by pepper-pot roofs and a slate-covered dual-slope roof with five sculptured stone pediments.

Charles Poussard du Fors constructed the new castle, which hosted a meeting between Catherine de Medici and Henry of Navarre, future King Henry IV, in 1586.

The castle grounds include a boxwood labyrinth, registered as a historical monument since 1971, and maintains a historical garden classification.

This private property, owned by the Hennessy family since 1901, remains closed to visitors but can be viewed from the exterior and during Charente River boat tours.

The castle served as a filming location for two French cinema productions: L'Education Sentimentale in 1962 and Benjamin in 1967 with Catherine Deneuve.
