Château de La Grange-aux-Ormes, Historical castle in Marly, France
The eighteenth-century castle stands at the end of a long driveway in the Frescaty plateau, with the Seille River flowing along its perimeter.
The first castle was built in 1187 by religious orders of Notre-Dame-des-Champs and Saint-Symphorien of Metz, later sold to multiple noble families.
The property features a chapel declared in 1768 by Marly's priest Chandellier to be in excellent condition for celebrating holy mass.
The castle grounds now include a 27-hole golf course spread across 100 hectares of wooded and rolling terrain, accommodating players of various skill levels.
The estate transformed from an agricultural property producing potatoes, wheat, and livestock until 1963 into a modern golf facility in 1991.
