Château de Segrez

Château de Segrez is a castle in the Renarde Valley that began with 18th-century construction and received architectural additions over the following hundred years. The structure maintains its original character while incorporating later expansions, all situated within landscaped grounds.

A local landowner commissioned the castle in the early 1730s as a private residence for his family. Subsequent owners expanded and modified the building over the decades that followed.

The estate became a center for plant study during the 1800s, drawing botanists and researchers to its grounds. The gardens still reflect this scientific interest through their diverse landscaping and organization.
