Château de Malesherbes, Medieval castle in Malesherbes, France.

The castle features three remaining defensive towers with hourds and incorporates classical architectural elements from its 18th-century reconstruction period.

Jean de Montagu, superintendent of finances to Charles VI, acquired the original castle of Bois-Malesherbes in 1398 before his execution in 1409.

During the French Revolution, the castle owner Lamoignon de Malesherbes served as defense counsel for King Louis XVI at his trial.

The castle operates as a reception venue and contains protected elements including the main buildings, park, chapel, and granaries.

The castle's garden maintains an 18th-century collection of native and exotic trees arranged in French formal style.
