Château de Mauriac, Medieval castle in Senouillac, France.

The stone fortress stands in the middle of Gaillac vineyards, featuring eight mullioned windows and a 400-square-meter inner courtyard.

The Knights Templar constructed the castle in the 13th century, which later gained wealth from the cultivation of woad, a plant producing royal blue dye.

Bernard Bistes, who purchased the castle in the 1960s, transformed the interior spaces into exhibition halls displaying his paintings and artworks.

The castle opens every Sunday and public holiday from 3 PM to 6 PM, with advance reservations required for group visits outside these hours.

The castle includes five guest rooms with four-poster beds, while its vaulted cellar can accommodate ceremonies for up to 150 people.
