Château de Talmay, Medieval castle in Talmay, France.

The castle combines a square tower with a pyramidal roof and bell tower alongside an elegant building constructed in 1762.

Guillaume de Champlitte, Lord of Pontailler and Talmay, ordered the construction of the initial fortress in 1250 at the border of Burgundy.

The French-style gardens, designed in 1753 by architect d'Aviler, complement the castle's architecture with geometric patterns and symmetrical layouts.

Guided tours operate from August 1st to September 15th at 2 PM, 3:30 PM, and 5 PM, with tickets priced at 9 euros for adults.

The watchtower provides views of the Jura mountains from its patrol path, connecting visitors to centuries of border surveillance history.
