Château de Tressé, Neoclassical château in Ombrée d'Anjou, France
The Château de Tressé spans five levels with ornate sculptures adorning its facades, surrounded by a 16-hectare forested park with extensive terraces.
Architect Liberge constructed the château between 1845 and 1848 for Joseph-Gilbert, the seventh Marquis de Preaulx, replacing an earlier medieval manor on the site.
The château's chapel contains the final resting place of the Preaulx family members, including the eighth Marquis and his spouse, preserving local noble heritage.
The property now functions as an event venue with multiple reception areas, meeting rooms, suites, and a 1000-square-meter parking area with electric charging stations.
The château operated as a departmental sanatorium and pre-vocational center during the latter half of the twentieth century before transforming into a luxury hotel.
