Château des Vives Eaux, 18th-century château in Dammarie-les-Lys, France

Château des Vives Eaux is a two-story main building with ten rooms in Dammarie-les-Lys, accompanied by outbuildings including stables and a converted artist studio pavilion. The estate spreads across about 18 hectares of grounds with various spaces for different uses.

Jacques Gondouin designed and built this private residence between 1760 and 1780, incorporating architectural features typical of that era. The name refers to the water features and channels that connect the property with its surroundings.

The château became widely known as the filming location for the French casting show Star Academy, which was recorded here from 2001 to 2008 and featured many musical performances. The show shaped the venue's appeal and drew many visitors interested in experiencing the place.

The property is welcoming to visitors on most days and allows guests to explore the gardens and outdoor areas freely. It is easily accessible from the area and offers plenty of space to wander through different rooms and structures.

A large water basin connected directly to the Seine allows boats to dock right at the property's edge. This feature links the château directly to river traffic and creates an unusual connection with the surrounding area.
