Château du Carpia, Medieval castle in Castillon-de-Castets, France.

The castle features a rectangular main structure connected to a square tower, with two southern wings forming a symmetrical architectural ensemble.

The construction of the fortress began in the late 15th century, and Jean de Baritault purchased it for 8,300 livres in February 1641.

The castle stands as a testament to French noble residences, combining military architecture with Renaissance modifications visible in its staircase tower.

Located 2 kilometers southeast of Castillon-de-Castets village, the castle maintains private residence status and operates an organic vineyard.

The castle's stone tower replaced an earlier wooden guard structure, with interior spaces initially connected by wooden floors and ladders.
