Commanderie de Moisy-le-Temple, Medieval commandry in Montigny-l'Allier, France
The commandry features a Gothic chapel, Renaissance-style mansion with circular towers, outbuildings, and a large courtyard surrounded by gardens.
Established around 1150 by the Knights Templar, the commandry absorbed several neighboring properties including La Sablonnière in 1357 and Magny-Saint-Loup in 1633.
The chapel, dedicated to Saint Christopher, displays early Gothic architecture with ribbed vaults and floral motifs painted in red on its interior walls.
The reception hall spans 275 square meters with exposed timber framing, connecting to both the inner courtyard and garden areas.
The chapel's interior, once converted into stables, has been restored and consecrated in 2022 under the name of Saint Charles de Foucauld.
