Château de la Brunière, Renaissance castle in Le Givre, France.

The castle features stone facades, high rooftops, and twelve granite fireplaces distributed throughout the main building and its perpendicular wing.

Built in the 16th century during the Hundred Years War, the castle underwent reconstruction in 1591 under Jean Bodin before royal troops damaged it in 1621.

The castle represents French Renaissance architecture with its detailed entrance portal, numerous monumental granite fireplaces, and traditional moat bridge configuration.

The castle remains a private residence owned by Doctor Thierry Gorphe and Baroness de Vauchaussade de Chaumont, with limited access to specific areas.

King Henry IV selected this castle as his resting place, marking its status among French noble residences of the period.
