Château de Fayet

Château de Fayet is a Renaissance castle with a rectangular main building, two towers, and additional wings forming a U-shaped structure. The facades display the characteristic 16th-century architecture with carefully proportioned elements.

The castle was built in the 16th century by the Castelnau-Bretenoux family and played a role in the region's history. King Henry IV visited the estate during his time in the area.

The interior rooms display painted ceilings and decorative fireplace work from the Renaissance period. These craftsmanship techniques reflect the wealth and taste of the family who lived here.

The castle is private property and does not permit public access to its grounds or interior spaces. Visitors can admire the exterior views from outside and explore the Renaissance architecture from afar.

A monumental sculpted well from 1564 with coat of arms stands on the grounds. This well was designated as a historical monument in 1931 and remains one of the most notable features of the estate.
