Circuit Carole, Motorcycle and kart racing track in Tremblay-en-France, France
Circuit Carole is a 2,055-metre asphalt motorcycle and kart racing track in Tremblay-en-France, 4 km southwest of Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. Its 9-metre-wide circuit can be split into two shorter parallel loops, and a smaller kart track lies in the southeast of the 18-hectare site. A pale blue and grey Dunlop gantry arches over the track.
Circuit Carole opened on 1 December 1979, named after Carole Le Fol, an 18-year-old killed on 23 September 1977 while riding pillion to an illegal Friday-night race at Rungis. The state had the track built near Charles de Gaulle airport to end those unsanctioned meetings. The Seine-Saint-Denis department ran it under a 1983 lease until 2010; the FFM took over on 1 January 2012.
