Faculté des métiers de l'Essonne, Professional training center in Évry-Courcouronnes, France
The Faculté des Métiers de l'Essonne is a vocational training school offering more than 90 different professional programs. These programs range from entry-level certificates to advanced degrees spread across eight specialized fields of study.
The school was founded in 2005 when local business chambers and regional authorities joined together to create it. Since then, it has trained thousands of students in professional skills needed for their careers.
The school maintains close relationships with nearby businesses and brings professionals into its classrooms to share their work experience. Students see firsthand how what they learn connects to jobs that exist in their region.
Training takes place at three different locations: Bondoufle, Évry, and Massy, with each campus focused on specific subjects. The workshops at each site are equipped with the tools and equipment students need to learn by doing.
Each year the school brings together around 2900 apprentices and 5000 trainees through its combined apprenticeship and professional training structure. This mix allows different learners to study alongside each other in the same environment.
