Fontaine de l'Observatoire, Monumental fountain in 6th arrondissement, France.

The Fountain of the Four Parts of the World features bronze sculptures representing Europe, Asia, Africa, and America supporting a celestial globe.

Gabriel Davioud designed this fountain between 1867 and 1874 as part of Baron Haussmann's grand urban renewal program for Paris.

The fountain's sculptures, created by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux and Emmanuel Frémiet, demonstrate the artistic excellence of French Second Empire craftsmanship.

Located in the Jardin des Grands Explorateurs, the fountain provides a central meeting point between Luxembourg Gardens and Paris Observatory.

Eight horses designed by Emmanuel Frémiet emerge from the fountain's base, creating a dynamic circular movement beneath the four continental figures.
