Halle aux toiles

The Halle aux Toiles is a market hall situated in central Rouen between two historic squares. Its most distinctive feature is the exposed concrete vaults visible across its upper levels.

This structure originated in the 12th century as a marketplace. It was destroyed during Allied bombing in 1944 and then rebuilt to match its original form in the postwar period.
