Hôtel de Panette stands at 1 rue Henri-Ducrot in Bourges. Its street front keeps the 1418 portal of the hôtel des Trésoriers de la Sainte-Chapelle: a tall open pointed arch with a carved finial and stone ornaments along the molding, beside a smaller pointed arch holding a dark red door with a black metal ring handle. The open arch frames a paved courtyard and a light building with blue shutters.

The entrance facade is the only surviving part of the 1418 hôtel des Trésoriers de la Sainte-Chapelle, built by Arnoul Belin, first treasurer of the Palais de Bourges. After the Sainte-Chapelle's destruction, the marquis de Tristan bought the house in 1757 for 10,000 livres tournois and rebuilt it facing south. The marquis de Panette acquired it in 1818, and from 1839 to 1845 it housed the exiled Spanish pretender Charles de Bourbon. The facade was listed as a monument historique on 17 February 1928.

The name recalls the marquis de Panette, who bought the house in 1818 from the Tristan family. From 1839 to 1845 the government of Louis-Philippe rented it to lodge Charles de Bourbon, pretender to the Spanish throne. The street, now rue Henri-Ducrot, was formerly rue du Vieux-Poirier.

The street portal is the only surviving element of the 1418 hôtel des Trésoriers de la Sainte-Chapelle; a much-faded inscription recorded that Arnoul Belin, first treasurer of the Palais de Bourges, had it built for himself and his successors. The entrance façade was listed on the supplementary inventory of Monuments historiques on 17 February 1928.
