Hôtel de Rohan-Montbazon, Private mansion in Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Paris, France.

The Hôtel de Rohan-Montbazon is a private mansion in the Faubourg Saint-Honoré featuring an eclectic 19th-century facade with two carriage entrances and mixed architectural details. The building now houses private apartments and offices, with its interiors containing a First Empire salon.

Architect Pierre Cailleteau built this residence in 1719 for Louise-Julie de La Tour d'Auvergne, Princess of Montbazon, who chose to settle in this district. The building received historic monument status in 1927 and remains protected today.

The First Empire salon showcases refined French interior design with details that reflect the tastes of Paris's upper classes during the early 19th century.

The building is privately owned and not open to visitors as it contains private apartments and offices. The exterior facade and its protected architectural features can be appreciated from the street, particularly the two carriage entrances and their detailed stonework.

Fashion designer Gabrielle Chanel occupied the ground and first floors from 1922 to 1934, hosting artists like Picasso and Stravinsky in these spaces. The location became a meeting point for Paris's artistic circles during that period.
